Up to speed

Since the month of November has been COMPLETELY crazy I have posted quite a bit today to bring all of my faithful readers up to date. ;) haha!

These are the recent post:

Go ahead,
Check them out...
I know you're dying too!

Dear Lady

Dear Lady,

I don't know if you will remember me, but I was the pregnant lady that you ran into at church on Sunday. You know, when you saw me you asked when I was due. I told you that I was due in March and you replied," Oh wow, looks like you're going to pop now!"

Thank you.
Too kind.

Automatically I felt like I needed to defend myself and say,

"Well this is my third pregnancy in 3 years."

"My uterus is just growing faster because it already knows what to do."

"I did start out heavier then what I wanted to this pregnancy."

"I am carrying a girl, and I look different then what I did with both my boys."

It puts you on the spot.
What are you supposed to say?
What I really wanted to say to you was:

"How dare you say that to a pregnant woman. I mean first of all, we are a grenade full of hormones waiting to explode at any second...on a good day. Second, try putting on say 30 + pounds in a matter of nine months and still always feel good about your ever widening figure.

I mean give me a break lady. I am growing a human being here. And it is really tough to enjoy pregnancy (which I do) when people like you feel the need to steal my joy. thank-you-very-much."

So because I LOVE being pregnant for the most part and I try to keep loving my changing body; here's a picture!

(this is me right before bed tonight)

Enjoy,
Brittany

.......................................

Really I can laugh it off for the most part, because my wonderful husband always tells me that he loves me being pregnant and I am so beautiful.
But why don't some women have a filter?
Especially if you've had children of your own and know how it feels to be pregnant.

This is one of the most exciting times in my life.
I LOVE the fact that God has blessed me with the ability to carry a child!

I know those of you ladies who have been pregnant can relate to me.
Even if nobody has said anything to you like that, you can at least relate to the emotional side (good and bad) of pregnancy.
So therefore, you can forgive my rantings! HA!

Maybe I am bigger than I should be, but so what?!

Unconventional Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was no traditional one this year.
And let's not make it a tradition! HA!

Since my sister was still in the hospital from her surgery that Tuesday we all went up there to visit her.
And my wonderful dad didn't want her to miss out on his good breakfast, so he packed it up and brought it there.

So while many of you were hanging around with family watching football, we were up at the hospital eating biscuits and gravy!
Oh that food speaks to my heart!!
YUM!

I think I could just eat a bowl of my dad's gravy...without the biscuits!

Sam passing the time with his iphone.
I swear they are attached at the hip.

Something must be good on tv, HA!
Poor Titus, it was his morning nap time.

Dad really enjoyed holding him.
He is the only one who can get him to sleep without his blanket.

Dad tried to lay him down next to Stephanie, but he woke up.
So sad!

But he calmed down fast.
He loves his Stephy!

Ethan wanted a turn.

sweet

Oh yeah, you know you're in Dallas/Fort Worth
when a sign is posted in the room letting you know that the hospital is not liable for stolen teeth!
Classy.

..............................................

After our fun trip to the hospital most of us headed home to prepare our Thanksgiving meal.
Our plan was to package everything back up again and take it to the hospital!

But when we were almost done cooking my mom called and said they could come home.
So we made an impromptu table setting and prepared for their arrival.

I spent most of my afternoon behind this spatula.
We were best friends.

dinner time

Everyone at the table except for my mom who is taking the picture.
Shawnda and her friend were able to make it just in time for dinner as well.

There we finally were.
One family.
Together.

So I think if I had to say what I was most thankful for on that day, it would have to be that!

And a close second would be that we are finally having  baby girl!
Oh, that never gets old.

Feel like it's Deja Vu

(disclaimer: this post is not my normal crazy, funny, dorky self)

My sister Stephanie has had quite a year.
I mean that is probably  an understatement.
She has been struggling with some kidney issues since about July.

So I don't have to hash out all of the details for her sake and yours ;) I'll give you a short rundown.
* she's been on pain meds of ALL kinds (most of which don't work)
* she's had 4 surgeries
* she's been apart of the homebound program at school because she is in so much pain she can't even go (and it's her senior year!)

Which brings me to this past Tuesday.
She was scheduled for yet another surgery (deja vu) which is the biggest of them all.
The doctors hope this is the end of the road for her, and I pray she can get back to feeling normal!

So after her surgery we went up to the hospital to check on her.

Stephanie was only supposed to stay for one night, but she ended up staying for two.
Which if you're keeping track, ran right into Thanksgiving.
Though we are all thankful for the fact that she did get to come home!

She continues to be in a lot of pain and each day she can do a little more, but please pray with me that this will end up being her last surgery!

For Fun!

We fought the craze long enough around this movie then finally in March my sister in law made us watch the first movie Twilight.
...and I was in love!

For real!
I mean I liked this movie SO much I wanted to read the next book so I could know what happens!
I wanted to read! (for those of you who know me should all be gasping!)

So when Sam asked me if I wanted to go to the midnight showing of the next movie, New Moon, I didn't hesitate to answer, YES!

Plus it was on my list of things to complete this year!

Like a couple of obsessed teenagers we went, along with my sister and dad (though I don't think he would admit to that in public, so I had to photograph it! HA!)

TEAM EDWARD
(you would so know if you read the book or watched the movie!)
oh and yes we are that big of dorks

Oh yeah dad, caught ya! (so classy by the way) ;)

New Moon...enough said!
(had to snap that last picture right before the movie started and before I got caught with a camera, HA!)

And we sure did have some fun!

I fell in love...

...with this face!

(I don't know why the photo is SO grainy, it didn't look like that on iphoto! ugh, oh well!)
